I’m simply blown away by graphic artist, I love fantasy art and anything dragons, I’m a big fan of Boris De Valleo and as I was stumbling around online again using Stumbleupon I was taken here:

There is an email circulating about false Future Shop ownership, closing, gift cards, bankruptcy, its not true.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been asked to communicate some information regarding a viral email that has been circulating which claims that Future Shop is owned by a competitor who recently filed for bankruptcy and will be closing down stores. This is simply not true - it’s parent company is not bankrupt and Future Shop continues to grow and prosper with more openings scheduled before the end of the year.

This email also contains information about FS gift cards not working anymore. This too is false - Future Shop gift cards never expire and can be used at any of the 138 stores across Canada (and also online at futureshop.ca).

If this email comes into your inbox, consider it spam as it contains hugely false information.

Thanks!

How I cartooned me!

How I cartooned me! - click image and let the gif load each cell and watch.

Well, I was bored and thought I would try my havd at some simple animation, I installed paint.net, tool a goofy picture of me and made a change and then save a frame at a time, I tried to move multiple items at a time to give it some life, as I got to frame 30 I got a little bored of doing it so I started accelerating the process. Not bad for 49 frames and 20 minutes as I have never done this before.

It’s a day that I will always remember what I was doing, I’m sure it must be like people who lived through the moon landing, they remember what they were doing on that day too but that was a high in the history of mankind and was an extreme low, an act of cowardice.

I took a moment to remember the losses in my life as I do on Remembrance Day and I said a prayer for the families effected by loss whether it be 9/11 or a war or simple a natural passing. The death of a stranger effects us less than a death of someone close to us but we should take time to remember those who are left to deal with the loss.

Tired of listening to the same old music, want to try new, fresh music, here are some suggestions…

Last.FM

Check out Last.FM, sign up for a free account, download the client and install it, you can search for a tag, eg Ambient, Soul, smooth, cool, classic. I sometimes type in a mood I want so if Im down and need a pick me up I choose bouncy at a tag. Its a cool way to hear artists and songs that perhaps would not get airplay or have a hard time being heard.

I really like to see the Playground’s top played stuff on last.fm:

http://playground.last.fm/topchart/tracks

Download.com
Download.com is featuring allot more free music, some top artists too, I check it out and download tonnes of music from here.

Puretracks
I used to get an email from Puretracks telling me of the free download of the day, I believe they still do it.

Bored Again Christian
I can hear all the non Christian’s groaning, say not all Christian music is blah, Check out Switchfoot or P.O.D. one day, anyway the B.A.C. Podcast has some interesting stuff.

CBC Radio 3
This is an awesome site, very cool post cast and playlists of the best of Canada’s artists on the site: http://radio3.cbc.ca/

At Western Speedway in Langford. Vancouver Island a bus jumped a row of cars, it was good but not great so… they pulled the buss off the cars, hit the ramp harder and faster and it was like watching “Speed” but without Sandra Bullock.
