What’s with the state of American television that Canada feels is worth emulating, I caught American Idol last night, the show is directed in such a way that its degrading, heaven forbid AI be racist but they are as bad if not worst, if someone appears on the show that may stereotypically not adhere to a pop or teen idol genre, people who some would class geek’ish or weird the AI takes that characteristic and exploits it making the show painful to watch by anyone with a fiber of moral standards.

Its a train wreck, appalling but some people just cant help but watch.

Canadian Television can do better than airing a show that teaches the general population and especially the younger generation its “okay” to make fun of people. You might as well make fun of the contestant race too.

And another few things, whats with the product placement, you know what I mean, those red glasses and how careful the camera angle and glass placement is only to show half the logo.

Also, whats with the door thing, If someone cant wait to get away from panel having a door deliberately lock to cause further embarrassment for supposedly ‘good’ television sucks.

And Paula, should you be checking into rehab, something is seriously wrong with you behavior. It could be fatigue but the 15 minutes I could bear to watch you could not string a sentence together.

I for one refuse to watch AI. There is pushing the boundaries of good television and there jumping over them and running off into a pit on despair, you achieved the latter spectacularly.

Dear Lord - Fight D’ Evil

Dear Lord,

Its a daily truth that we are confronted with works of the Devil, currently here in Victoria we hear of the trial of Robert Picton who murdered street women from Vancouver and fed them to his animals, what drives a man to justify these actions as acceptable, in his mind as I understand it he thought he was doing the world a favor by taking something useless, evil and vile from the streets and putting it to a useful purpose, only the evil influence of the devil or his servants could surely convince a man that such acts were benefiting the world.

Please use one of you trusted servants to cleanse the Picton farm of this evil so that it does not have a chance to infect another.

Please be aware I do not agree with the action of Picton nor do I suggest he goes unpunished as we all have free-will and he took a dark path from which he will never return from.

I ask that you and my better angels assist me in my days to be aware of the evil one and fight him in the ongoing fight.

Some may read my words and think I have lost my mind, if you do not believe in God and the devil believe in free will and good and bad choices and help people make good choices and let people know they have them… isn’t that part of being a good friend and neighbour.

These are the things I pray today.

Kirsty Ally at John’s Place

This morning on my way to work a film crew was setting up in and around John’s Place, I asked one of the production team what was going on and its apparently a made for tv movie starring Kirsty Alley, I looked on IMBD but didnt see anything that looked like the name he mentioned.

Anyway, the once fat-actress and now very sexy Kirsty is in Victoria, BC, Ive always like Kirsty from her days in Cheers, she really is a fighter, real “spunky”.

Good luck with the movie Kirsty.

Starbucks

I don’t normally go to Starbucks, its a luxury item, a Starbucks coffee, I did today however decide I might quite like one so I went in and was about to order and my cell rang so I hit the button to silence it and the girl asked me how I could help and the cell rang again so I answered it “Id like a Grande Mocha with whipped cream please”, Michelle fell about laughing, she was on the cell.

I was rumbled, Im normally “Anti” non-essentials such as MacDonalds, Starbucks and other money grabbing chains but the one time I go against my principals and I get caught on it. Go to show someone is pulling the strings.
