Im learning more about the 23rd Psalm, I am reading about the line “He leads me on straight paths for His name’ sake.”, there are other versions mentioned in the book I am reading but the Hebrew according to the author actually means more than most of the translations can describe, the part that says “on straight paths” in the Hebrew means you may be lead in an around about way that will get you to were your going. Most people will agree the traight path is not necessarily the best and a short cut may get you in more of a mess then you wanted but something along the way will either help you or cause you to be in a situation were you can help someone else, I alway thought it ment he would take you the best route which in a way it does but taking direct route or the fastest route is not what it means if you take the Hebrew version. The book I am reading is called “The Lord is my Shepherd” written by a Rabbi from New York and is well worth a read I will try and post full info of where to buy it… Anyone who knows me can borrow it when I am done, I will probably give it to the Church for the library.

I dont like keeping secrets, I dont mean little things, I mean big stuff, life changing stuff that if it got out would cause all sorts of trouble for different people I know. I am good at keeping secrets but these type where peoples lives are hurting in turn make me hurt, I didnt sleep well last night after I was told something, I didnt need to know but the person who told me seemed to find some comfort in telling me and we talked about alot of things and it seemed to help them.

All I can do is pray for the people as I know God knows all secrets so I can share it with him and ask him to help. I can also be an ear for the person(s), I wont interfere but I will listen if its required.

These guys had an alternative to going to the local bottle depot….

I love these traditional images of Bible scenes, being more or a
visual person it brings home the story better for me than sometimes
reading a passage from the bible would,  Read about Jesus on the cross
and look at this image for a while….
