“Laptop extention to back of Church - 125 Feet
I want some advice on an inexpensive way to have a laptop at our soundboard desk at the rear of the church linked to a projector 125 ft away on a budget? Not asking much. I found a price for a 125 ft SVGA cable that was $700 and I was having trouble getting back into my chair after reading that price.
Currently we have a laptop linked to a projector with a SVGA and USB cable and the projector has a remote that has a limited range (someone has to sit in the front of the congregation and flip the slides) unfortunately the remote can be overly or under sensitive causing it to skip ahead too far or not at all, plus your relying on batteries in the remote to work too.
How can we do this?
I was thinking of repeaters with standard coax between, or wireless but that could be unreliable/expensive. What do other churches do? Help?
