NMC

Just using StumbleUpon to get me around the web, its a toolbar from http://www.stumbleupon.com and supports all most good browsers.

Anyway, I made it to a site that I like, its called NMC and it has a streaming radio option to hear the new talent out there…:

New Music Canada - Put it in your ear

If you want the RealPlayer stream into your media player use the URL: http://www.newmusiccanada.ca/player/playlist.cfm?radio=true&bit_rate=1

I recommend installing Real Alternative from http://www.filehippo.com/

Homeless and fur trees.

I remember some time ago in our local greenspace where we walked our dog that there was a fur tree that had branches to the floor, one evening we heard snoring coming from the tree and it seems a homeless man was living under the branches, the next time we visited the part the branches had been cut from around the trunk up to chest height leaving this poor homeless man out in the cold.

Where I work there is a large homeless crowd due to a place called the upper room providing homeless a place to sleep. Opposite the main Window the office reception is another Fur tree and this is used as a public lavatory and area to hide when taking substances and this tree is also marked some saw action so if you want to save the fur tree’s of Victoria we need to assist in giving the homeless homes and jobs.

Victoria enviromentalists gather together and give jobs to the homeless working with the environment.

Telus Webspace - gripes!

I have a few issues with Telus, I wanted to setup a customer 404 page because I moved my site from Telus servers to another hosting service, I read though all of the Telus support pages for webspace and nothing on custom 404’s. They did link to a 404 specific site that gave alot of information and another site that would tell me what webserver Telus runs, apparently accourding to this page it is Apache 1.3 on Solaris 8.

So I proceded to to setup a .htaccess file in my old Telus webspace so I could have just 1 404 page stating that the site had been moved and an auto redirect to my new site.

It doesnt work!! Telus, whats the score.
