Alot of the following is taken from the Native American Medecine Wheel principles which I have learnt about from excellent books by the Author “Kenneth Meadows”, He wrote a large book which is available from many online bookshops.

This book was condenced into the specific birth animals and I purchased as well as Earth Medicine the book for “Salmon 22 July - 21 August (N. Hemishisphere)” which comes under the title of “The Little Library of EARTH MEDICINE”, One of each of the birth animal books is available and I carry mine with me as it is an affirmation as to who I am and my strengths and weaknesses. Dont misunderstand me when I say this, I know that it does not completely apply to me as we are each individual but it goes along way to explain to others as well as myself why I feel and behave the way I do. Being born on the cusp I also need to pay attention to the “Woodpecker” book as I exhibit some of these traits also.

The 12 Birth Totems

The twelve birth signs in Native American Indian Medicine wheel teaching are represented by birth totem animals, in my case the Salmon, Each animal totem exhibits qualities inherent at that birth time. These date ranges for times of birth differ as to whether you are born in the Northern or Southern hemisphere’s. I could talk about them all but them I am stopping you from buying Kenneth’s excellent books which everyone should read.
